Reaching out for therapy usually takes longer than we expect, and by the time most people contact me, they've been carrying something heavy for a while. If that's you, I want you to know you don't need to arrive with a clear explanation of what's wrong or what you want to work on. Figuring that out together is part of the process, and some of the most meaningful work starts with "I'm not sure where to begin." In our first few sessions, my main goal is for you to feel comfortable and understood. I'll ask questions, but there's no script and no pressure to share more than feels right. Over time, you can expect me to be an active participant: I'll reflect what I'm noticing, offer perspectives you may not have considered, and occasionally challenge you, always with care and always in service of what you came here for. My hope for every client is the same at its core: that you leave therapy relating to yourself with more compassion and less criticism, understanding your patterns rather than being run by them, and feeling more genuinely connected to the people in your life. If you're wondering whether we'd be a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute consultation.
