My ideal client is honest, willing learn & go deep if it is relevant (though it is totally okay if they have to work up enough trust to be more honest, open, and willing to go deep). My ideal client is also willing to do the work outside of our sessions, in order to address their mental health needs, and be able to function better in their life. I have developed a good report successfully with a great variety of clients, but I appear to develop the strongest rapport with clients who are creative & curious. I specialize in trauma & PTSD, work a lot with relationship & career/work issues, anxiety, depression, & grief. I primarily use trauma informed & focused CBT, I incorporate other evidence-based approaches, including creative modalities (hobbies, art, music, play, etc.) as is relevant to each individual client and their particular situations. I know counseling can be an intimating prospect, but it also can be a very rewarding experience. I would love to collaborate, with you as an expert on yourself and your life, and myself with my mental health expertise, help you reach your wellness goals.
