I've been practicing since 2003, and have a deep reverence for the healing process that unfolds in therapy. My practice is relational at its roots; a welcoming, safe environment is the most fertile ground for growth. I practice from a psychodynamic (insight-oriented) frame and incorporate tools from Mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioral and Somatic methodologies. Our symptoms, patterns and coping strategies are not developed in a vacuum, but rather in the context of all of the systems in which we live. Therefore, my work with clients sits on a foundation of feminist and social justice theories. As a white social worker, I am committed to the iterative and consistent work of de-colonizing therapeutic practices. My style is flexible, inquisitive and warm and I consider it an honor to walk with people as they expand their access to more connection, ease, and joy. In-person session are available in Portland, Maine. Virtual visits can be scheduled for folks across Maine and Massachusetts.
