Introduction

I believe healthy relationships with others and ourselves are foundational to better mental health. Deciding to seek therapy can be a daunting but positive step toward wellness. While I cannot promise specific behavioral or circumstantial changes, I promise to support you, understand your repeating patterns, and help clarify your goals. I work to create an open, safe, and nonjudgmental environment. My approach is client-centered and holistic, tailoring tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Forgiveness Therapy, Grief and Loss, Hope-Focused Couples Counseling, and The Gottman Approach to meet your specific needs. Additionally, for clients who desire it, I incorporate the Bible and prayer into sessions, discussing how religious and spiritual beliefs impact their lives. Qualifications & Experience: - Education: MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University. - Licensing & Affiliations: Licensed in the State of Colorado. Member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the Chaffee County Early Childhood Council. - Experience: Practicing since January 2013, with extensive background in addictions counseling. - Past Roles: - Director of the Salida Pregnancy Resource Center (2013–2020), focusing on families and relationships. - Behavioral Health Care Manager at First St Family Health (2019–2023), providing care for all ages. - Specialties: Relationships, stress, anxiety, sleeping disorders, motivation, self-esteem, confidence, depression, and substance misuse.
