I offer a warm, steady space where clients can feel safe, understood, and supported as they work through life’s challenges. My approach to counseling has been shaped by both professional experience and personal insight into the realities of stress, trauma, and family life. After sixteen years working as a paramedic, I gained firsthand experience with how overwhelming situations can impact people long after the moment has passed. I have a deep respect for the demands placed on first responders and their families, which continues to inform my work. I work with children, adolescents, college students, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and PTSD. I have a strong interest in supporting children and teens facing school-related challenges, including self-esteem, peer relationships, and bullying. I also work with individuals and families involved in foster care and adoption, as well as those navigating infertility, relationship challenges, and family stress. My approach is relational and grounded, while also offering practical tools clients can use in everyday life. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and a humanistic, person-centered perspective. I also incorporate experiential elements when appropriate, including creative expression, play-based techniques, and grounding work that engages both mind and body. I have an interest in nature-based approaches and the role animals can play in the therapeutic process. I incorporate faith in a way that is natural and respectful of each client’s preferences. I understand that reaching out for counseling can feel like a big step. My goal is to meet you where you are and walk alongside you with consistency, honesty, and care.
