Introduction

I believe that seeking support is a sign of strength, and I feel privileged to walk alongside people as they navigate some of life’s most difficult moments. Throughout my career, I have developed a deep and unwavering passion for helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families find hope, healing, and a greater sense of well-being. My professional experience spans nonprofit, public, and private settings, where I have had the opportunity to work with people from many different cultural, social, and economic backgrounds. I have worked with incarcerated youth, children and families involved in the foster care system, justice-involved adults, couples, adolescents, and individuals facing a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges. Although everyone’s story is different, I have found that many of us share the desire to live a life that feels meaningful, fulfilling, and successful. My role is to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported as you work toward the changes you want to make in your life. I have extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families, and I value providing care that respects each person’s unique culture, experiences, values, and perspective. Having spent much of my career serving underserved communities, I understand the importance of making mental health care accessible, culturally responsive, and respectful of each individual’s circumstances. I am a dual-licensed clinician, holding a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license since 2004 and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) license since 2012. I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy Counseling from the University of San Francisco in 1998 and have been an active member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. I am fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French. Being able to connect with clients in their preferred language is especially meaningful to me and allows me to better understand and honor their experiences and cultural backgrounds. Whether you are facing a difficult transition, struggling in a relationship, supporting a child or adolescent, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next, you do not have to navigate it alone. My hope is to provide you with a supportive space where you can gain insight, build on your strengths, and move toward a life with greater happiness, self-sufficiency, and fulfillment.
