Hi, I’m Betty. My interest in therapy grew out of experiences in community organizing, the arts, and mental health settings, where I kept returning to the importance of spaces that allow people to slow down, reflect, and feel genuinely understood. I believe therapy can offer room to explore the histories, relationships, and experiences that shape how we move through the world. I work with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, burnout, identity questions, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. My approach is relational, psychodynamically informed, and trauma-informed, with attention to the ways language, the body, and social context shape emotional life. Together, we can explore patterns, personal narratives, and forms of expression that may feel difficult to articulate, while building greater understanding, flexibility, and connection. I see therapy as a collaborative process that can open space for new ways of relating to yourself, your experiences, and others.
