Blaine Brixey, LMFT (NV 4977) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has a passion for working with couples, individuals, and families in all stages of life. Blaine’s journey to becoming a fully licensed therapist began after his parents’ divorce in 2009, less than one year after he and his wife were married. The contrast between the joy and challenge of building his marriage and his parents’ divorce caused Blaine to become curious about the complex nature of relationships and life. Blaine understands the ever-present relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. He is most interested in how patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving affect our relationships and our ability to function in daily life. Blaine’s warmth and curiosity help him create safety for thoughts and emotions to be identified and shared. Blaine’s goal is to help his clients find new insight and perspective by understanding patterns, cycles, and needs within themselves and their relationships. He believes this knowledge enables clients to be intentional in their efforts to engage meaningfully in daily life and feel connected in their relationships. Blaine and his wife have been married for sixteen years and have three children. Together, they have faced many challenges associated with marriage and family life. Blaine’s sincerest hope is to help couples, families, and individuals experience joy and fulfillment in life and their relationships despite the challenges they face.
