If life has been “life-ing” and you’re feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck, or simply ready to Be Better mentally and emotionally than you are right now—you’re in the right place. I’ve always had a passion for helping others, but it was the grief counseling I received after the passing of my grandmother who raised me, that truly confirmed counseling as my purpose and calling. There’s a saying, “Become what you needed as a child,” and that deeply resonates with me. Experiencing the impact of support, validation, and healing firsthand shaped the compassionate and genuine approach I bring to therapy today. Many of my clients affectionately call me “Ms. B” because I create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and encouraged to truly “be” about the work required for healing and growth. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA), a proud North Carolina native, and an honors graduate of Johnson C. Smith University and The University of Alabama. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-worth concerns, emotional dysregulation, and unresolved childhood or family wounds. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, trauma-informed, and solution-focused. Using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and other tailored interventions, I help clients identify patterns, build healthier coping skills, process difficult experiences, and move through life with greater confidence, clarity, and resilience. Grounded in the belief that ALL things can work together for your good, I am committed to helping clients heal, grow, and reconnect with the healthiest version of themselves. You do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I’m here to support you every step of the way.
