Introduction

I'm a relationship specialist. I work with couples who feel disconnected, stuck in the same fights, or are healing after infidelity — as well as those navigating faith transitions, perfectionism, non-traditional relationships, and questions about identity or sexuality. I co-developed Self-Determination Based Therapy to bring together the most effective parts of proven models — EFT, Gottman, IBCT, ACT, IFS, and more — and adapt them to fit you, instead of fitting you to any single model. People are a lot like plants — a shade plant doesn't struggle in direct sunlight because it's broken, but because it's in the wrong conditions. My job is to help you figure out what kind of plant you are and build a life and relationships that fit. My compassionate, curious, and (sometimes) humorous approach aims to help you feel seen for who you genuinely are — not who your therapist, boss, partner, family, or religious leader thinks you should be. See my website for more on this unique approach. I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist with additional formal research and supervisory training. My approach draws on decades of research across multiple evidence-based therapies — tailored to your specific situation. I've been in my own dark spots. That's part of why this work matters to me.
