Introduction

Hello! My name is Brecken, pronounced like Breckenridge. I'm a new-ish (just about a year!) resident of Philly, having lived in Pittsburgh for 9 years! I have been a therapist for 8 years now, and the majority of that time I have focused on populations with trauma and borderline personality disorder. I am trained in comprehensive DBT and fully trained in EMDR, hoping to begin my consultant training soon! I approach therapy with gentleness, authenticity, and levity when appropriate. Validation and safety within a session is of the utmost importance to me; however, I'm not afraid to gently call you out on your BS :-). I have a laundry list of important values: leftist, pro-choice, LGBTQIA+ affirming, pro-immigrant, anti-racist, anti-MAGA and MAHA, to name a few...and I hope this transparency helps you feel comfortable in moving forward (or not) in working with me. I'd love to talk more to see how you can continue your journey to being the best version of yourself!
