Introduction

As a counselor, Breea’s aim is to create a space for people to find healing through being heard, seen, and understood. Breea desires to walk alongside the client and empower them to experience emotional, spiritual, physical, and mental growth. She values the uniqueness of each client’s story. Breea is passionate about collaborating with the client to help them find their own peace and joy. Breea is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and received her Master’s in Social Work from North Carolina State University. Prior to that, she graduated with her Bachelor’s also from North Carolina State University studying Social Work and Psychology. During that time, Breea was able to intern and counsel at a residential home for teenage girls, the Department of Juvenile Justice, and Campbell University. Following her education, Breea worked in a community mental health agency as an Intensive In-Home Team Member and then Intensive In-Home Team Lead. Breea’s experience includes working with individuals and families including children, teens and adults. Breea’s scope of practice includes, but is not limited to the following areas: life adjustments, boundary setting, trauma, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, and family relational problems, depression, grief, aging, child/adolescent. Therapeutically, Breea works from a person-centered approach and implements various approaches depending on client’s needs including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Eco-Systemic Family Therapy, Play Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Interventions, as well as others. Breea is also trained in TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Breea is open to meeting clients both in-person and online. In her spare time, Breea enjoys getting outside, playing tennis, playing a fun board game, and drinking coffee. She enjoys time with her church, family, friends, husband, and kitties.
