Introduction

Hi there, I am glad you are here. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I received my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from California State University, Long Beach. I’m a bilingual, Mexican immigrant passionate about working with first-generation folks struggling with identity issues and the challenges of belonging to different communities. I also find so much love in supporting clients in social justice spaces to address burnout and re-imagine sustainable anti-oppressive practices that foster collective liberation. Having worked in different positions throughout different settings that serve historically underserved populations since 2015, I approach therapy through a holistic lens that pays attention to social, biological, spiritual, and psychological needs. I firmly believe in the importance of trauma-informed care and engage in therapeutic practices that promote a mind-body-soul connection. In my practice, I lean into EMDR and somatic practices as a decolonial approach to supporting clients in their trauma healing journey to increase trust in their values, intuition and discernment. I believe individuals thrive when doing what they love while in community with one another. If you're looking for an experiential approach to therapy that acknowledges systemic trauma and and helps support your nervous system reconnect with your body and spirit, we just might be the right fit. Please reach out with any questions.
