Introduction

*I have immediate openings for individuals and couples for in-person or telehealth sessions in California as well as telehealth-only sessions in CT, RI, and MA.* Does your life feel out of control? Do you feel anxious, hopeless, or too demoralized to get out of bed? Is a relationship you cherish falling apart despite your best efforts? Do you feel disillusioned and aimless, like you're watching someone else’s life on a screen, merely going through the motions of a pointless existence. Recovery and change are possible, and my professional guidance can help you find the insight, willpower, and clarity of purpose within yourself. With individual clients, we will examine your presenting problems, formulate goals together, and apply evidence-based cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic interventions, both during sessions and throughout your interim periods between our meetings. My approach makes strong use of the Socratic Method on the basis that self-knowledge is central to recovery. With couples, I use Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy, an evidenced-based approach of experiential learning, emotional acceptance, and mindfulness — a dynamic combination of helping partners express the hidden, perhaps vulnerable, feelings beneath conflict as well as stepping back to see their patterns in an intellectual, mindful, non-blaming manner.
