Introduction

Let me introduce myself. My name is Brian Freeman and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor trained in EMDR in the beautiful state of Florida. I previously taught at an "alternative school" for troubled youth. This was vital in my decision to pursue a career in counseling. It was as a teacher and later working with children at an inpatient residential mental health facility that I learned the profound effects that trauma can have on our lives, especially at an early age. Since graduating with my Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling, I have been working with clients from all walks of life at the best residential trauma treatment center in the US as well as in my own private practice. I received a BA in English from the University of North Florida and my MA in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University. I have been trained in CBT and DBT therapy as well as EMDR therapy and have used those modalities with clients in a residential setting for over four years. I also earned my LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) license in the state of Florida. I have a very relaxed style as a therapist. It's my goal to provide a safe, comfortable environment so that my clients can be their completely unfiltered selves. I also have a strong work ethic and will continually challenge my clients to grow. Specialties EMDR, Trauma, PTSD, Codependency & Depression.
