Introduction

You feel increasing stress in your daily life, or you feel tension building in your relationship, or you are recalling something that happened in your family system that had a negative impact on you. Feeling like you are struggling with navigating life’s challenges, or feeling unresolved burdens is known to result in lessened confidence and security within oneself. Seeing that you are here indicates that you are ready to advocate for yourself and attempt to find some relief. It also seems that you are ready to feel separated from these struggles. Clients come to me looking for a therapist with a fresher mindset, a therapist who is gentler and has a warmer approach because life has already been rough enough. Therapy should be a place where you feel safe and open and not a place where one feels judged or disregarded even if discussing a topic where therapist and client don’t quite see eye-to-eye. Sessions with me are structured as open discussions and are at a pace that matches where you are at, because I as your therapist will not be pushing you to a place where you are not ready to be at. As an experienced marriage and family therapist, I believe that systems help us to be able to better understand ourselves and those around us. You do not have to continue trying to understand your part in this system alone. During this time together I will work to fully understand your system and your process. Thank you for advocating for yourself and feeling open to having the support you deserve.
