Hi, I'm Brittany, a Mental Health Counselor-Limited Permit (MHC-LP) in New York. I don't believe there's one "right" way to do therapy because there isn't one kind of person. We all carry different experiences, challenges, and strengths. So, my approach is to get to know you first - not try to fit you into a treatment plan that wasn't built with you in mind. I pull from approaches like CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, person-centered, and somatic therapy, but what matters most to me is finding what genuinely helps you. My passion for trauma work grew while supporting individuals who had experienced domestic violence and complex trauma. I saw how powerful it can be to have someone sit beside you without judgment, hold space for your story, and remind you that healing doesn't have to happen all at once. That experience continues to shape the kind of therapist I strive to be. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, navigating a life change, or simply trying to understand yourself a little better, therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what's happening, and move forward in a way that feels true to you. When I'm not working, you'll probably find me trying a new restaurant, rock climbing, or curling up with a good book and my furbabies. If you're ready to start, I'd be honored to meet you where you are.
