Hi, I’m Brittany, a licensed professional counselor and Jungian/transpersonal therapist at Body & Soul Psychotherapy. I came to this work the long way around—growing up on a farm gave me an early, embodied understanding of the natural world’s capacity to regulate, ground, and heal. That foundation led me through a Jungian humanities program at Pacifica Graduate Institute and a transpersonal counseling psychology degree with a wilderness therapy focus. My own late-life ADHD diagnosis has also shaped how I work, especially with neurodivergent clients who’ve spent years feeling out of step with conventional approaches. My practice specializes in trauma and PTSD, using somatic and nature-based methods alongside equine-assisted psychotherapy. I work particularly with neurodivergent individuals, and through NatureHeals (the nonprofit I co-founded), I facilitate group sessions—including horse-assisted co-regulation work—for families and communities seeking nervous-system-level healing, not just talk therapy. What sets this work apart is its directness: instead of only discussing what happened, sessions invite your body and nervous system into the process, often alongside a horse who can mirror and support regulation in ways words can’t. For many clients, this creates breakthroughs that traditional talk therapy alone hasn’t reached. I’d be glad to talk through whether this approach might be a good fit for you.
