Meet Brittany Grooms (She/Her/Hers) Affirming, Authentic, and Mindful Therapy Hello! My name is Brittany Grooms, and I am deeply committed to creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are without fear of judgment. Please come as you are. Why I Became a Therapist I believe that true healing happens when people feel genuinely seen and supported. I’ve always been drawn to understanding the profound connections between the body, mind, and spirit, and I wanted to build a therapeutic environment where individuals could safely explore every part of themselves. Becoming a therapist allows me the privilege of walking beside others on their journey toward healing, authenticity, and wholeness. My Approach: Holistic, Trauma-Informed, and Inclusive My therapeutic approach is holistic and person-centered, honoring your unique experiences and identity. I strive to create a warm, collaborative environment where you feel safe to explore your emotions, identities, and experiences without reservation. My work is deeply trauma-informed and inclusive, with a special focus on empowering individuals to heal and reconnect with their authentic selves. I often integrate mindfulness, somatic awareness, and evidence-based techniques to support your unique journey toward balance and wholeness. If I were to describe myself in three words, they would be: Affirming, Authentic, and Mindful. Specialization & Commitment to the LGBTQIA+ Community As a therapist who is part of the LGBTQ+ community, I understand firsthand the critical importance of a safe and validating space. My lived experience has deepened my commitment to providing affirming, inclusive, and trauma-informed care. I specialize in working with: Queer and LGBTQIA+ individuals, including those seeking Trans-affirming care. Adolescents and Adults (mostly ages 13 and up). Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and Trauma. Major Life Transitions. I am open to working with individuals, couples, and families, ensuring that relational dynamics are explored from an affirming lens. I know what it’s like to navigate systems and spaces that don’t always feel safe or validating, and that perspective shapes my commitment to meeting you with empathy and respect. Outside the Therapy Room When I’m not working with clients, I love spending time with my wife and our dogs. I find balance and connection by exploring the outdoors, traveling, and writing. I feel most grounded when I’m in nature and enjoy experiences that bring a sense of balance and creativity to my life. Ready to explore your authentic self in an affirming space? Let’s begin this journey together.
