Introduction

At times, your mind can feel like a storm versus a calm place. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, caring space for you to face these troubles. I aim to offer positive methods for change through finding your strengths. Your story is powerful and can give us insight on how you work. As you share parts of your story, we find your beliefs and needs which impact your relationships. While working as a team, we can build skills for you to face challenges from new viewpoints. I can help you increase your confidence and awareness of your unique traits. I have experience working with teens, adults, and couples through various challenges including anxiety or depression, postpartum issues, substance use issues, or relational issues. I have completed Level 1 and Level 2 trainings in Gottman Method For Couples, and also am certified in SYMBIS Premarital counseling. I am DBT informed and have completed CPT training to aid in recovery from PTSD. No matter your age or challenge, my goal is to meet you where you are and work towards positive change. Additionally, I also specialize in disordered eating and negative body image. Exploring your beliefs, your past, and self-talk are steps to restore your connection with food and self. As a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, we can find your barriers and build skills to work to healing. As a counselor and registered dietitian, I link both physical and mental health in my counseling style. I include spirituality as a strength as well depending on each client’s wishes. My education includes a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lancaster Bible College, Dietetic Internship at Penn State University, and a Bachelor of Sciences in Nutrition and Dietetics from Messiah University. I practiced for six years as a registered dietitian and am now a Licensed Professional Counselor helping kids, teens, and adults with their mental health concerns.
