Welcome to Cascadia Wellness, PLLC! I am so glad you are here! I am a recent graduate of Walden University and have my Associate license in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I took a circuitous route to counseling, first earning a B.A. in English Language & Literacy and a B.S. in Secondary English Education. I taught high school English for several years, and while it was fulfilling in its own way, I realized something was missing. The ways that I wanted to show up for others were impeded by the standards and policies of the public education field. I returned to school for a master's in counseling and found that what most energized me was working with people one-on-one. It is an honor and privilege to be invited to witness another's journey and to see them have more compassion towards, appreciation for, and belief in themselves. I am especially passionate about working with clients who are healing from abuse and trauma, as well as clients who struggle with disordered eating. I bring all of my passions into the therapeutic space, including yoga, bibliotherapy, narrative & poetry therapy, creative expression, mindfulness, and nature. I believe all humans have the capacity to heal and grow, and I am immeasurably grateful for the privilege to hold space for all who come through my door.
