(she/her) Hey there. My name is Brittney. I have been providing trauma sensitive counseling since 2015. During my undergrad I worked with Youth Ages 11-13 and their families in a school setting. Following graduation I began working for a domestic and sexual violence/abuse service provider, where I provided trauma focused psychotherapy to a variety of ages and I also created and managed programs. Programs I managed included the clinical and youth programs. Although I enjoyed my time there, I ended up moving to private practice after the birth of my first child. I have been in private practice ever since. I am LGBTQ+ affirmative. I work most often with abused children and their families and I am a certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional (CATP). However, I have ample experience and training in working with adults of all backgrounds. I have a passion for providing trauma sensitive services that are flexible and meet the client where they are at. I utilize a holistic approach and work with the client as a whole, not just their symptoms and things that aren't working for them. I am trained in a variety of modalities including (but are not limited to): Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) Trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) Child Parent Psychotherapy Attachment Centered Play therapy Child centered play therapy Sand tray therapy Mind-body Bridging Somatic therapies Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and others
