Introduction

I am a pre-licensed mental health counselor who is deeply committed to helping individuals heal, grow, and reconnect with their authentic selves. My clinical approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing from Trauma-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy. I believe that meaningful change happens when clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and empowered within a safe therapeutic relationship. At the core of my work is a belief that each person already holds the capacity for insight, resilience, and purpose. My role as a counselor is not to define who you should be, but to walk alongside you as you explore your inner world, strengthen your relationship with yourself, and discover what feels meaningful and true to you. I strive to create a nonjudgmental, collaborative space where emotions can be explored openly and at your own pace. As a Korean American therapist, I bring a culturally sensitive and nuanced understanding of how cultural values, family dynamics, intergenerational expectations, and identity can shape emotional experiences. I am especially passionate about supporting clients who struggle with cultural identity concerns, bicultural stress, feelings of not fully belonging, or navigating the tension between individual needs and collective or familial expectations. I approach these experiences with deep respect, curiosity, and awareness of cultural differences, while honoring each client’s unique lived experience. I work well with individuals who are seeking to better understand themselves, process past or ongoing trauma, build emotional regulation skills, and develop a stronger sense of self-compassion and self-trust. Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or questioning your sense of purpose, I aim to support you in developing insight, emotional balance, and a more grounded relationship with yourself.
