Introduction

I enjoy working with clients who are seeking guidance in improving their quality of life while maintaining demanding careers and caregiving responsibilities. Some clients come to me with a clear idea of their problems and specific diagnoses and conditions they would like help with treating, while others come to me with a vague sense of dread, overwhelm, and discontent in their current lives. I help all of my clients identify what is happening, where they are getting stuck, and use various approaches to help them design a life more aligned with who they want to be. I personally am a full-time working professional and parent. I understand the challenges of maintaining high profile careers and finding time for family activities. I am a great fit for other professionals seeking work/Iife balance and trying to manage it all who would like a therapist who directly understands the challenges that come with this season of life. I have 16+ years of experience working in research and clinical roles in academic medicine making me a great fit for those who are in similar positions. I am licensed in RI & PSYPACT and have the ability to offer telehealth in 40 states through PSYPACT. This makes me an especially good fit for folks who may be mobile for work and/or family reasons, as I can likely stay with you as you transition in and out of various moves. What it is like working with me: At the start of our work together, we will create shared treatment goals to help you design a life that feels more intentional, grounded, and connected to your values. I use a range of evidence-based treatments including ACT and CBT, existential therapy, and insight-oriented approaches to support clients in achieving their goals. As a clinical psychologist, I also have years of experience in addressing a range of more acute mental health conditions including anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma and stressor related disorders. This is important because if we discover you are dealing with acute mental health symptoms we can effectively address those symptoms and conditions through evidence-based treatment. I have an intentionally small practice. I don't advertise widely because I maintain a low profile that optimizes confidentiality for patients seeking that level of privacy. A small practice means that I can focus deeply on work with a select group of clients. The benefit to you is that as a client you get more of my time and attention than most clinicians can offer.
