Hello! I’m Brooke Yingling, a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in complex trauma and eating disorders in Colorado. Growing up in a military family gave me the opportunity to live across the country and around the world, fostering a deep appreciation for people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. I began my career in education, spending 11 years as a teacher before transitioning into the mental health field. These experiences strengthened my passion for helping people make sense of their experiences and move forward with greater clarity. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I strive to create a space where clients feel supported, challenged, and empowered. I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. I often use EMDR to help clients heal from trauma and other distressing life experiences. I have seen this approach help people process difficult experiences, reduce emotional distress, and develop healthier beliefs about themselves. I am also IFS-informed and incorporate parts work to help clients build self-compassion and better understand themselves. Additionally, I draw from CBT, DBT, and SFBT to support insight, emotional regulation, and skill development. I often incorporate humor and gentle directness while helping clients build confidence, resilience, and self-understanding as they work toward a life that feels more manageable, connected, and fulfilling. https://www.thinkinggraytherapy.com/
