Introduction

Our aim as counselors is to collaborate with clients to create a nurturing therapeutic environment in which inspiration for healing and forward movement can be found and actualized. We strive to engage clients in the practice of life-affirming tools and actions that enhance personal and relationship functioning and well-being by: Discussing stress and challenges; exploring feelings, thoughts and behaviors; examining options; developing skills; realizing goals; viewing relationships and family dynamics; paying attention to community, culture, and socialization; and understanding the processes of change. The empathy, assistance and practical tools we offer are informed by our: Breadth of life and career experience; depth of conviction about how capable and resilient people can be; belief that everyone needs support sometimes, and each individual is primarily the expert with their unique issues. We wish to encourage and celebrate accomplishments of clients, and hope to assist you at rising above and beyond challenges to greater well-being and joy. Each of us feels honored to have worked many years in human services, emphasizing a positive regard for the whole person, with a broad range of age groups. We have both enjoyed our work as counselors for over 15 years, having trained for work with individuals, couples, families, and groups, with our focus primarily on individual video counseling at this time. We bring respectful warmth and support, and when appropriate, humor, in our sessions. We do not offer legal or medical advice, or crisis services. We offer 50-minute private pay sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11am-5pm Pacific Time (2pm-8pm Eastern Time). We respond to secure messages on a HIPAA-compliant platform, usually within a few business days. We appreciate your patience if a response takes longer due to our personal and/or professional obligations. If you are ever in crisis or in urgent need of help, call 911 or local emergency services, visit the nearest emergency room, or call the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988.
