Therapy can be a place to explore challenges, patterns, and sticky spots in our lives. Whether you are encountering the complex reality of relationships, identity, life changes, loss, or grief - you do not have to go about it alone. In working together, we will co-create a space to navigate these challenges with curiosity and compassion. Informed by my previous work in healthcare and case management, I am particularly well suited to working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, those experiencing chronic illness/pain, and relationship concerns. Context is incredibly important - considering the impact of systematic oppressions on mental health is a key component of my approach. In practice, I utilize aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy. These modalities can help us explore values, patterns, and stories we tell ourselves while also strengthening our coping skills. Together, we may incorporate mindfulness and somatic practices into therapy to support the connection between the mind, body, and breath. My approach is ultimately tailored to each individual; come as you are and we will figure it out together.
