Welcome! Clear Horizons Counseling is a collaborative partnership between Caitlin Hollearn and Erin Madigan. Together, we bring 25+ years' experience in community mental health and a shared commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care for children (10+), adults, couples, and families. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi, I’m Caitlin Hollearn, LPC-MH, QMHP, and co-founder of Clear Horizons Counseling. With over 15 years of experience in community mental health, I work with children (10+), adults, couples, and families navigating life’s challenges. My training includes Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), EMDR, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and person-centered approaches. I integrate these evidence-based practices to support healing, strengthen relationships, and build practical coping skills. I believe connection is the foundation of meaningful change. I strive to create a welcoming, validating space where you feel safe to explore barriers, process experiences, and move toward growth. I value authenticity in the therapy room and thoughtfully use humor to build rapport and foster genuine connection. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Black Hills State University and a Masters of Science in Counseling and Human Development from South Dakota State University. I am also, a Licensed Professional Counselor- Mental Health (LPC-MH) in the state of South Dakota and a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP). When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, tending to plants and gardening, and exploring nature through travel. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi! I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Erin Madigan, CSW‑PIP, co-founder of Clear Horizons Counseling and I help adults navigate the wonderfully complicated, sometimes heavy, always human experience of life. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices — because your healing deserves both warmth and solid strategy. In our work together, I support you in leaning into your authenticity, understanding patterns that might not be serving you anymore, building self‑compassion, and finding ways to move through life that actually fit your goals (not the ones you feel pressured to have). My goal? To create a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported — with plenty of room for real talk, moments of clarity, and yes, the occasional laugh when life gets absurd… because it often does. If life feels heavy and you’re looking for new ways to heal, grow, and make sense of the chaos, you’re in the right place. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and my Master of Social Work from the University of South Dakota. I’m licensed as a Certified Social Worker–Private Independent Practice (CSW‑PIP) and am a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). I draw from Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Person‑Centered approaches, and EMDR — but I’m a blend‑and‑tailor type therapist. I meet you where you are and adjust the work to what you need most.
