My approach to therapy is based on the belief that we don’t always get to choose our experiences, but we can choose to respond in ways that promote resilience and growth. If you’re reading this, that tells me you’re trying to make that choice for your life. Whether you feel deeply stuck in a dark place, or just need a boost to get back to enjoying life again, I will provide experience, knowledge, and focused, caring attention. Since 2009, I have worked in: Community mental health Addiction treatment programs Youth homeless shelters Hospitals Elementary schools High schools Private practice A sexual assault resource center Disaster mental health Collaborative medical settings I am often asked what it is that I like about working with particularly heavy issues. My answer has three parts: I believe that all pain deserves to be taken seriously, I know that trauma is highly treatable, and, because I’ve seen it work for so many, I am able to approach each client’s unique situation with creativity and optimism. I look forward to learning more about your story and finding out if I might be the right person to help build your plan. Outside of being a therapist, I am a Seattle-born local, parent, runner, baked goods fanatic, and cat lover.
