Introduction

- How I Got Started My path to becoming a therapist was written in my name before I even knew it—in Farsi, my name means "peace" and "love." But it took a journey through heartbreak, leaving an abusive religious environment, and discovering the transformative power of mindfulness before I truly understood my calling. Seventeen years ago, during a pivotal therapy session of my own, everything clicked. I had been studying Computer Science, but I wasn't fulfilled. What lit me up was the possibility of guiding others toward wholeness—of holding space for people to come home to themselves. As a first-generation Iranian-American who grew up outside DC and later moved to NYC, I intimately understand what it means to navigate worlds that weren't built with us in mind. I pursued two master's degrees in counseling, including one from Columbia University, and I've continued deepening my practice through an Interspiritual Master's in Divinity and apprenticeships in Andean and Hawaiian shamanic healing. My education is ongoing because I believe I must do my own work to truly show the way for others. - My Specializations I work with adults and partners who are navigating complex terrain—especially those in the LGBTQIA+, gender-expansive, trans, nonbinary, polyamorous, ENM, kink, sex-positive, and BIPOC communities. Many of my clients are healing from: * Complex and religious trauma (PTSD/CPTSD) * Grief, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders (including BPD) * Identity exploration around gender, sexuality, and pleasure * Relationship challenges, whether in traditional or non-traditional configurations * Existential questions and spiritual wounds * Feeling stuck, exhausted, or unsatisfied with life As a nonbinary therapist, I bring lived experience that informs every session. I offer virtual appointments across New York (City and State), Florida, and Vermont with no waitlist and flexible weekday availability. - The Meaningful Impact My approach weaves together somatic therapies, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, DBT, CBT, psychodynamic work, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and transpersonal wisdom—honoring mind, body, and spirit. This isn't about quick fixes; it's about reclaiming your wholeness. Together, we'll create a warm, affirming space where you can explore every facet of who you are without fragmenting yourself to fit in. You'll gain: * Embodied resilience and nervous system regulation * Concrete tools for navigating anxiety, grief, and trauma * Greater self-trust and inner peace * Authentic connection in your relationships * The courage to live out loud—with clarity, pleasure, and purpose You deserve a therapist who can embrace every part of you—your identities, your relationships, your struggles, and your strengths. If you're tired of feeling stuck and ready to transform raw pain into grounded wholeness, I'm here as your steadfast guide on this hero's journey. Let's get started!
