Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you are unsure whether you will feel understood. At Leek Therapy, I work with teenagers and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, identity concerns, relationship difficulties, grief, stress, and major life transitions. I am particularly committed to supporting LGBTQIA+ clients and people whose experiences have been shaped by marginalisation, cultural expectations, or unequal systems. My approach is trauma-informed, person-centred, and grounded in feminist therapy. This means that we will look not only at what is happening internally, but also at how your relationships, culture, identities, environment, and wider social experiences may be affecting your mental health. I draw from psychodynamic therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, narrative therapy, and other approaches based on your needs and goals. Our first sessions will give us time to understand your history, what brings you to therapy now, and what you want to change. I may ask many questions, but the process is not an interrogation—you will also have space to get to know me and decide whether my style feels right for you. Together, we will develop a pace and direction that feel supportive, collaborative, and meaningful. I offer secure telehealth through Leek Therapy to clients across Massachusetts and can provide therapy in English or Spanish.
