Introduction

I'm Candice. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California, and I offer somatically oriented therapy for those navigating complex chronic illness, medical trauma, sexual trauma, reproductive trauma, attachment wounding or grief. Sometimes, there aren't quite words for the experiences you've lived, but your body holds the story. Or, perhaps you've swallowed the things you have wanted to express because you lack support that truly understands. Maybe you feel unseen in your day to day, as you quietly navigate a body holding an internal battle. That's where I come in. I meet you where you are in your health or grief experience, and hold informed, attuned space for the story to live outside of the confines of your body & mind. I meet you at the intersections of your identity and your lived stories, with compassionate curiosity and a deep belief in your resilience. I have extensive experience with complex diagnoses such as Lyme Disease, Long COVID, MCAS, CIRS, EDS, Breast Cancer, PMOS, PMDD and Endometriosis. I also have experience in supporting folks post medical procedures, such as hysterectomy, endometriosis excision, mastectomy or gender affirming surgeries. Here, I speak your language. You tell me what is happening in your body, and I believe you. To support tending to and re-processing physical trauma, attachment wounds, pain or grief, I utilize an individualized mix of EMDR, Brainspotting, narrative therapy and IFS parts work. This space is LGBTQIA+ affirming, neuro-affirming and medical trauma sensitive. Individuals of all relationship orientations are welcome, as I have additional training in working with attachment in non-monogamous or polyamorous relationship structures. Let's work together to lighten the weight of what you carry, and re-orient your nervous system to the present moment. Together, we'll work on closing those "open files" in your nervous system that got stuck as active loops, and create more space for you to breathe, connect to your voice, engage your discernment, re-build your relationship with your sense of self, and embody a sense of security and peace. If you're curious about how these modalities might help you, please reach out. Let's chat; I'd love to hear your story.
