Introduction

Hi, I'm Candice Herrera, a Licensed Professional Counselor passionate about helping adults heal from trauma, anxiety, and the lasting effects of generational trauma. I believe lasting healing begins when we understand the stories that shaped us, release the burdens we were never meant to carry, and begin living from a place of peace instead of survival. If you've spent your life being the strong one—the one everyone depends on while quietly struggling yourself—you're not alone. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, emotional overwhelm, or the weight of family patterns, therapy can become the place where you finally exhale. My approach is warm, collaborative, and genuine. I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you understand the roots of your struggles, heal old wounds, and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. Therapy with me feels like a conversation, not an interrogation. You'll be met with compassion, curiosity, and respect every step of the way. I don't believe healing is about becoming perfect or pretending life is easy. It's about breaking cycles that no longer serve you, reconnecting with the person you were created to be, and building a life that reflects your values instead of your survival. You deserve more than simply getting by. You deserve healing, peace, healthy relationships, and the freedom to live authentically. Wherever you are in your journey, I'd be honored to walk alongside you as you take that next step.
