Introduction

Candice Mitchell helps adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions. Her approach integrates Polyvagal Theory, IFS, ACT, and ERP. She provides warm, collaborative phone therapy throughout Florida, helping clients build resilience and create lasting change. Because insurance does not cover phone-only sessions (non-video), services are self-pay. I’ve always been interested in understanding people—their stories, relationships, struggles, and capacity for growth. That interest led me to earn a Master’s degree in Psychology from The New School and become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and major life transitions. My style is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation with a trusted friend. Together, we’ll work to better understand what’s keeping you stuck, develop practical tools for managing life’s challenges, and create meaningful change. At this time, I offer phone-based therapy only, which allows me to serve clients throughout Florida. Because insurance companies generally do not reimburse for phone-only sessions, services are provided on a self-pay basis of $80 per 55 minute session. I regularly participate in continuing education, consultation, and advanced training to ensure I’m providing effective, evidence-based care. My work is informed by Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). At this time, I offer phone-based therapy only, which allows me to serve clients throughout Florida.
