Introduction

At our practice, we understand that the Mind and the Brain are inseparable. When we look at neuropsychiatric disorders, including ADHD, anxiety, and mood disorders from a circuit perspective, the distinctions between Neurology and Psychiatry quickly fade away. This integrated view is at the heart of our clinical work. When standard mental health treatments have fallen short, a deeper look at the brain functional state is required in evaluation of the presenting emotional and behavior dysregulations. Our practice specializes in Precision Neuropsychiatry, which means we look beneath surface symptoms to map the unique biological networks of our patient’s brains. By partnering with you and looking at the objective science of your neural circuits, we create highly customized care plans designed to restore balance, clarity, and well-being to your daily lives. Our mission is to bridge the gap between breakthrough Neuroscience and clinical Neuropsychiatry. By identifying the root causes of presenting symptoms, we deliver targeted, data-driven therapies engineered exclusively for your biology and presenting symptoms apply unparalleled accuracy in diagnosis and treatment. Direct patient care in our clinic is provided by Dr. Kiyamova, MD. Dr. Kiyamova, MD earned her medical degree from Kazan Medical University and completed her comprehensive residency training in Psychiatry and Neurology Neuropharmacology at Stony Brook University Medical Center in Long Island, NY. In addition, she received additional training in Developmental Neuropsychiatry and Neuropharmacology. She utilizes her extensive background knowledge, deep understanding that many Neuropsychiatric and behavioral symptoms are linked to General Medical Conditions or illnesses and years of clinical experience in her daily clinical work such as establishing a correct diagnosis and choosing a data-driven treatment for the adults across New York State. OUR SPECIALIZED CLINICAL FOCUS 1. Adult ADHD & Executive Dysfunction Management. We provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and targeted, evidence-based neuropharmacological management for adults (18+) struggling with cognitive load, chronic disorganization, and executive dysfunction. Dr. Kiyamova, MD balances precision stimulant and non-stimulant medication strategies with psychoeducational framework analysis to help high-functioning professionals and adults reclaim cognitive control and daily focus. 2. Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) & Post-Concussion Syndrome. The emotional, behavioral, and cognitive aftermath of a Brain Injury requires a delicate understanding of Neurology and Neuropharmacology. Capital Region Comprehensive Medicine specializes in virtual Psychiatric medication management for Post-Concussive Syndrome, managing specialized sequelae such as Post-Injury Behavioral and Mood Lability, Neurobehavioral Irritability, Anxiety, and Post-Traumatic Sleep Disruption. We work collaboratively alongside your existing Neurologists, Physical Therapists, and Psychotherapists to streamline long-term Neurological and Emotional Recovery. 3. Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) & Memory Decline. A Comprehensive Whole-Body System evaluation is essential in Cognitive Decline. It identifies treatable medical issues that mimic or worsen Memory Loss. Extensive Blood Tests, including vitamin levels, thyroid function, presents of inflammation, brain studies to rule out reversible causes like infections, inflammatory processes, hormone imbalances, or nutritional deficiencies and electrolyte disbalance before confirming a Neurodegenerative Diagnosis. In addition, co-existing Illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes, and kidney problems affect Brain functional state. 4. Treatment-Resistant Mood & Anxiety Disorders, include post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), acute stress disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). When standard mental health treatments have fallen short, a deeper look at the brain-behavior relationship is often necessary. We specialize in evaluating and managing treatment-resistant depression, complex bipolar presentations, and severe anxiety disorders in adults. By combining diagnostic accuracy and advanced neuropharmacological medication strategies in combination with individualized therapy, Capital Region Comprehensive Medicine helps patients find relief when other options have failed. Please note that to maintain a highly focused, compliant clinical scope, our practice does not manage: Substance Use Disorders or Borderline Personality Disorder. We serve adults ages 18 and older exclusively. Our practice utilizes Simple Practice for streamlined HIPAA-compliant patient onboarding and scheduling. If you have stable neurological, cognitive, or post-concussion patients who require collaborative, specialized psychiatric medication management, we are glad to partner with you to streamline their care.
