Relationships can become painful when couples find themselves repeating the same conflicts, feeling emotionally disconnected, or struggling to repair after hurt or betrayal. I specialize in helping couples understand the deeper patterns beneath their difficulties so they can move beyond blame, communicate more effectively, rebuild trust, and create a relationship that feels safer, more connected, and more loving. My work is relational and based on a family-systems perspectives. I help couples and individuals navigate high conflict, communication breakdowns, infidelity and betrayal, intimacy concerns, parenting differences, life transitions, and uncertainty about whether to remain together. We explore the wounds, triggers, protective responses, and relationship dynamics keeping you stuck while developing practical skills for emotional regulation, healthy boundaries, accountability, respectful communication, and meaningful repair. I also work with individuals who want to heal relationship patterns, strengthen self-worth, navigate separation or divorce, and build greater relational intelligence. My approach is compassionate, direct, and active—I will support you while also helping you recognize your part in the relationship dance and practice healthier ways of responding. I offer in-person therapy for individuals and couples in New Hartford and the greater Utica, New York area, as well as secure virtual therapy throughout New York State. Whether you are in Central New York, Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, New York City, or elsewhere in the state, we can work together online to help you move from disconnection and conflict toward clarity, connection, and lasting change.
