My first career was in alternative early childhood education. During a decade in this work, I benefitted profoundly from revisiting my own upbringing and learning about developmental stages from inception to the end of life. Since grad school I’ve worked less with children, but always within a strong developmental framework for understanding behavioral patterns and the role of the inner child (aka the inner healer). After gaining experience in harm reduction, including with populations that have experienced immense trauma — and starting a family of my own — I realized a calling to accompany folks experiencing transitions, in liminal space (the in between). I have long term interests in consciousness, and more recently, non-ordinary states of consciousness. I love symbols (Sandplay / Dreamwork), the frame of the body as the unconscious, somatic work (Brainspotting ™) and playful creative processes. Since completing the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) Psychedelic Research Program (CPTR), I have been clinically supporting psychedelic preparation and integration, and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, too.
