Being in the present, being aware of your surroundings and of yourself, is essential to grow, learn, and heal from trauma and dissociative disorders. As you are in the present moment, the past is behind you and the future is ahead of you. It is important to be present because trauma, stress, illness, and dissociative issues keep us from feeling aware and whole. Therapy is an important space to explore many aspects within an individual’s life. As a trained EMDR, IFS, CBT, and DBT therapist, I hope to foster a comfortable, open-minded, trusting, and understanding environment to explore and process fragmented pieces of the self. I strive to personalize the treatment of every client because therapy is not a ‘one size’ fits all concept. I specialize in working with dissociative disorders, anxiety, OCD, panic disorder, anger, chronic pain (EDS, POTS, IBS), depression, and burnout. Feeling out of tune from your mind, body, and the world is scary. Feeling as though you cannot get through to the next day is disheartening and scary. Life does not mean to live in fear, but to live with knowing you are gaining the most of what life has to offer, true bliss.
