Carmen earned her B.A from Illinois State University and received her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University. With 15 years of experience under her belt, Carmen has worked with various ages, ranging from 3 years old to Senior Citizens. For several years, Carmen worked in the foster care sector where she specialized in trauma and attachment issues. During this time, she provided psychotherapy groups for domestic violence and parenting. Carmen has also worked for several years with clients suffering from addictions. Carmen specializes in trauma, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. She is trained in and utilizes a variety of therapies including: Client Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as others. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and trying new foods.
