My philosophy is to work with clients in meeting their individual needs through a person-centered, trauma-informed process wherein I provide a safe environment to work together to determine each client's unique goals and needs. I utilize a variety of evidence-based counseling therapies, as well as culturally relevant techniques, adapted to provide the totals and insights to help clients be successful in achieving their goals. Some therapies I regularly utilize are Cognitive Based Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Grounding techniques. I have wide-ranging work and life experience, including my time as an Army veteran. This experience allows me to provide an informed perspective in therapeutic support for other veterans in the community. My goal within the counseling community is to assist others in achieving healthier and happier lives. I have worked with many client issues including substance use disorders, life transitions, relationship counseling, adolescent counseling, anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, bi-polar and personality disorders.
