Introduction

Carrie is a nationally certified counselor licened to serve clients in WA, OR, ID, UT, WI, FL and Vermont. She serves individuals ages 12-99 and couples. Her background is in serving individuals and families in crisis with the full spectrum of challenges, significant mental health such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, complex trauma backgrounds as well as substance and for lack of clinical term Co-Depenance as well as OCD related issues such as hoarding,. For young children, she provides parental support. Her collaborative approach utilizes tools to track symptoms and solicits feedback. She employs Parts Work, CBT, EMDR, communication and problem solving, mindfulness, and trauma processing. She helps you take a look at the four pillars of health - sleep, diet, exercise and community and helps you discover ways you can make small adjustments that lead to big changes. EMDR Trained and is finishing her consultation hours for certification. In her work with adolescents she invites high parent participation because you are the agent of change in your child's life. This often looks like skills from PCIT (formally certified in) or Collaborative problem solving as well as teaching your child new skills drawn from REBT and CBT. She is trained in EMDR and is completing the required consultation hours for certification. When working with adolescents, Carrie encourages active parent involvement, as parents play a key role in their child's progress.
