Carrie G. Prytherch-Maassen, PhD Candidate, LCPC, LPCMH, CAADC, CASDCS, is a licensed mental health therapist specializing in LGBTQ+ affirming care, trauma-informed therapy, substance use treatment, relationship concerns, and holistic mental wellness. She provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy to adolescents, adults, couples, and families across Delaware and Maryland. Carrie’s clinical approach blends traditional psychotherapy with integrative and spiritually informed practices, creating a therapeutic space that honors the whole person. In addition to modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Brainspotting, and person-centered interventions, she incorporates tarot-informed reflection and crystal-centered grounding practices as optional tools to support insight, mindfulness, emotional processing, and self-exploration. Her approach is collaborative, affirming, and tailored to each client’s individual beliefs, goals, and comfort level. She has extensive experience supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, neurodivergence, addiction recovery, life transitions, and interpersonal challenges. Carrie is especially passionate about creating safe and validating spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals and those exploring identity, authenticity, and personal empowerment. Carrie is currently pursuing her PhD in Psychology with a specialization in Gender and Sexual Fluidity at National University. Her research interests focus on LGBTQ+ identity development, minority stress, and media representation of asexuality. She believes therapy should feel human first: grounded in authenticity, connection, curiosity, and the belief that healing is not about “fixing” who you are, but reconnecting with yourself beneath the noise. ✨
