Maybe you've been white-knuckling your way through: muscling past depression, anxiety, or bipolar cycles, or living with a neurodivergent mind in a world not built for it. Maybe the hurt is tied to identity, as a trans or queer person, or through race, or simply through the messy and sometimes violent nature of life. Or what you want most is to feel at home in your body, and to belong, in a community or a family. Being human is a shared experience, and therapy is a space we build together to honor your vision for growth and healing. I work with individuals age 13 and over, with particular experience alongside trans folks and their loved ones. I practice trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, relational psychodynamic therapy, supplemented with narrative therapy and parts work. We'll examine the stories and patterns of your life, and get to know the parts of you that showed up to protect you and help you survive. Our relationship itself, built and strengthened over time, becomes the force for change. I also use play and arts-based approaches when words aren't the way in. I specialize in trauma and mood disorders, and I'm glad to work with anyone who wants to know themselves more deeply. I see clients in person on Eastlake Thursday to Saturday, and by telehealth across Washington. Reach out for a free consultation; whatever you bring, there's a path.
