Casey Evelsizor is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing medication management and supportive psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults ages 6-55 navigating autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, OCD, anxiety, insomnia, depression, PTSD and social anxiety (among others). She began working as a Nurse Practitioner in 2020 at UPMC’s Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders (CADD) -formerly known as the Merck Clinic and Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children. Prior to this, she was a certified psychiatric nurse clinician at Nationwide Children’s Hospital for 5 years. Her time at these institutions allowed her to work closely with specialists and leaders in diagnosing and treating ASD, ADHD, common co-occurring psychiatric disorders and complex behaviors. These experiences helped shape her holistic, evidence-based approach and deepened her commitment to working collaboratively with families and care teams. Today in her outpatient practice, she particularly enjoys working with children, young adults, neurodivergent clients, women/birthing people and those belonging to the LGBTQ+ community. Casey’s approach is collaborative and patient-centered. She values creating an affirming and inclusive environment where you can feel safe and free of judgement. Her goal is for you to feel heard and supported so you can build a life that feels balanced and authentic.
