Are you currently scrolling through therapist profiles like it's a dating app? Looking for the right counselor who seems nice, takes your insurance, is accepting new clients, and doesn't give off the vibes of someone who will ask "and how does that make you feel?" It is intimidating, overwhelming, and difficult to select which stranger you'd like to bare your soul to. To make it a bit easier, let me tell you a bit about me and my approach to counseling. I'm Casey. I have my own virtual private practice and work from home with my St. Bernard, Bernie (she is the company's CEO and takes her job VERY seriously). I deal with chronic illness, something that has shaped my clinical interests and approach to counseling. I believe in focusing on what we can change, accepting what is out of our control, and finding ways to adapt in challenging situations. Therapy is a partnership. I'm not here to tell you what to do. I am here to walk with you, guide you to your own answers, and help you untangle your thoughts. We do this together. We celebrate your wins together. We rage about your nightmare coworker together. I already know why that thing your parent said hurt you, and we process and work through it together. My approach to therapy is filled with compassion, humor, insight, and empowerment. Together we explore the way you think, the way you cope, who you are, and who you want to be. Feel free to reach out if you believe I may be a good fit for you!
