Cathy is a licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Doctorate in Education. I practice counseling via telehealth in Vermont with over 20 years of experience working with youth and adults in community mental health, higher education and college athletics. My practice includes 2 areas: Mental Health Counseling and College Coach Consultation. I. Mental Health Counseling I have a strong passion to support young girls and those who identify as women. I enjoy helping women overcome the social and cultural pressures that can make life more difficult, fostering resilience, confidence, and self-compassion. I help people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, family and relationship disruptions, body image distortions, athletic performance, and all the things that create challenges in life. I utilize techniques that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. My goal is to support your life goals and help you find peace in our complicated world. My style is down-to-earth and collaborative — we’ll work together at your pace, focusing on what matters most to you. I believe therapy should be a safe, empowering space where you can untangle what’s weighing on you and explore new ways to move forward. II. College Coach Consultation Cathy has more than 15 years in college athletics—as Associate Director of Athletics, Senior Woman Administrator, and supervisor of multiple Division I programs. Cathy is a former D-I athlete who played field hockey at UNC-Chapel Hill. This practice is designed to support the well-being and success of college coaches.... because Coaching is HARD! Through this work, I provide confidential, individualized support to coaches, focusing on: • Navigating the unique challenges of the profession • Work–life balance and resilience • Clarifying personal goals and values • Sustaining joy and fulfillment in coaching When I’m not working, I enjoy fitness, ceramics, painting, reading and traveling with family and our dog.
