My name is Cekira Bush-Miguel, I am the president and founder of Sacred Self-Love counseling LCSW psychotherapy practice. I am a Black and Latina social worker and psychotherapist serving New York and New Jersey, committed to creating a safe, affirming, and collaborative space for healing and growth. My journey into this work began with a deep understanding of how culture, family, identity, and systemic inequities shape our emotional lives. I saw firsthand how many people—especially those from marginalized communities—struggle in silence, and I felt called to support others in feeling seen, heard, and empowered. I specialize in working with adults and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and identity-related stress. I have particular experience supporting Black, Latinx, first-generation, and BIPOC clients, as well as individuals balancing cultural expectations, generational patterns, and the pressure to be “strong” while feeling overwhelmed inside. My approach to therapy is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and grounded in compassion. I believe therapy should not only help you cope, but also help you understand yourself more deeply, break unhelpful cycles, and build a life that feels aligned with your values. Together, we work at your pace to develop insight, practical tools, and emotional resilience—so you can move through the world with greater clarity, confidence, and self-trust. Therapy with me is a space where all parts of you are welcome.
