Celia believes our relationships with ourselves are central to mental wellbeing. She is especially drawn to helping clients build nurturing, growth-fostering internal relationships and trust in the tools they have to navigate their mental health. She is particularly experienced working with college students, athletes, LGBTQIA+ folks, and survivors of trauma. Before becoming a psychologist, Celia worked as an advocate for survivors of interpersonal violence — witnessing the profound impact of sociopolitical systems on mental health and the power of human resilience. Curious, warm, and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on client autonomy and expertise in their own life. Celia listens closely for the language clients use to describe their own experience to guide her approach to therapy, rather than leading with a fixed theoretical framework. She often incorporates Internal Family Systems, emotion-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness practice into her work.
