Hello and Welcome! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Art Therapist in San Jose, California, who believes healing happens when creativity meets compassion. I am also licensed in Taiwan as a Counseling Psychologist and Social Worker. With extensive training in Gestalt therapy, psychodrama, and sex therapy, my journey as a therapist began with a love for art and a deep curiosity about the stories people carry. As a third-generation Taiwanese and first-generation U.S. immigrant, I understands the power of culture and identity, and am passionate about supporting immigrants, multicultural families, spiritual counseling, religious trauma, generational trauma, attachment wounds, relationships issues, marital challenges, significant life’s transitions, and LGBTQIA+ & QTBIPOC communities. My approach is mindfulness-based and holistic, often integrating principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Chinese medicine to help clients strengthen inner resources, heal from trauma, and cultivate self-acceptance. For couples, I incorporate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Imago approach to support connection and growth. Additionally, I am developing skills in Bonny Method of Guided Imagery Music Therapy (GIM) to help clients deepen their mind-body connection and explore profound layers of personal healing. Over the past 15 years, I have provided therapy across many settings—schools, colleges, psychiatric clinics, memory care, non-profit organizations, criminal justice system, and substance use program in both Taiwan and the United States. I work with children, teens, couples, and families, walking alongside them through shifts in life circumstances, and fostering growth, healing, and understanding along the way.
