Hello, my name is Chad Koenig. My journey into mental health has been a long one. I served in the U.S. Army, then worked at an alternative high school for at-risk teens, followed by nearly seven years in child welfare. What I observed throughout this journey is a consistent thread: most, if not all, of us suffer from some form of trauma, and it takes a significant amount of effort and time to heal from those wounds. I believe Attachment Theory provides a useful lens for understanding human behavior. I utilize evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I believe in honoring a 'whole-person' approach, and together we will develop goals in line with your mental, physical, spiritual, and social identity.
